Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeons and trainees from Belfast and the rest of the United Kingdom, recently attended the annual meeting of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) in Guildford, England.
The society is one of the largest in the Orthopaedic community and continues to grow each year. This years programme in particular offered an excellent scientific programme, with a dedicated section of the meeting for allied health professionals such as physiotherapists and General Practitioners on the Thursday.
Many interesting talks were given by world renowned Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle surgeons, as well as papers presented on recent research from centres all over the UK and beyond.

The meeting was topped off with an excellent talk by the well known health commentator, Roy Lilley, giving food for thought on the direction in which the NHS may be heading.
